Wow! So, SDCC was amazing. It also really wiped me out. I’m hopping a plane today to get back to my homeland (Texas) and probably loafing for the rest of the day to gear up so it won’t be till tomorrow or the day after till I get a strip up. I really intended to work while I was out here, but somehow despite not sleeping too terribly much I had absolutely no time to do anything for the strip!
But in the next few days there will be a page for you and once Otakon is over con season will be 95% over and I can really start recuperating. I really do aim to have a more consistent updating schedule, so I appreciate you guys putting up with me till then!
I’ll try to have a more comprehensive post about SDCC sometime, but essentially, thanks to everybody who dropped by or I met. Our neighbors were awesome, everybody was awesome, so thanks! Thanks for making my first SDCC experience freaking amazing.

So I do; every time I sit down at the computer, I check to see if something changed. If not, I go “Ah, figures.” But when something does happen, I’m bouncing in my seat in excitement.

On the flip side, the happiest part of my day is seeing a new update! Or else, simply re-reading the page that it hasn’t yet been updated from. I find no shame in this ;P

Also, I have read other people’s reviews on your webcomic, Miss Stone. Most people agree that you don’t update enough and it has pushed away potential fans. While I personally think it’s nonsense and I understand how hard it is to put out wonderful and quality pages, I think this could be the one thing that is keeping your popularity from growing any faster.
That wasn’t stated to upset anyone or pressure you, just something I picked up from research. Don’t stop being awesome, please! Everyone here is thoroughly appreciative of your work, and we support you. <3
Sometimes there are long gaps, and other times there are so many updates so quickly that I am in nerd heaven. I don’t mind that she doesn’t have an update schedule, because I know that there’ll be a page before too terribly long, usually within a week or two… which is better than I can say about some “weekly” comics I follow.
Just my two cents.
Those who are impatient for the updates could always ignore the comic for a year or so, then have a nice long archive to go through.
You make very good points, but most readers are quite demanding when it comes to updates. I’ve read comments on webcomic sites that sound very much like threats if the author doesn’t update soon XD. What works best for Miss Stone, according to the Q&A, is working without an update schedule, so I think she has the right to go without a rigid weekly/bi-weekly thing. It’s totally the author’s choice, and very few realize that an author needs freedom and flexibility to create the most excellent pages they can.
As a comic artist myself I know it’s a pain in the neck to keep a schedule. Cartooning, to me, is much more rewarding when you get pages done quickly, but without a schedule. To sit there staring at my calendar freaking out because it’s almost Thursday and I have no update isn’t too appealing, and it kind of stifles the imagination.
So far her lack of update schedule hasn’t really bothered me at all. It’s like a surprise when there is one :D

Don’t ask me why, but the character interaction between Toni and Conrad has been the best yet for me. ^^ *shrug* I like it’s light-heartedness. Plus it’s irony. The vampire and the werewolf, getting along….

As much as I’d love to squeal about how adorable Toni’s current werewolf form is (can’t wait to see a better version of her proper werewolf form!), I’ll instead applaud you for the fouth panel. Finally, a small and more personal insight into Conrad’s thoughts on his predicament, rather than his RAGE AND WHINE approach which we see a lot more of. He’s still irritable and unhappy, but it really gives us a snapshot of what his character really is (or at least, a more fragile aspect).
